Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information infinitystyles.net collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the website only — records kept in the salon are handled separately.

What we collect, and why
When you contact us or request an appointment
Our appointment and contact forms collect the name, email address, phone number and any message you choose to give us. We use this only to reply to you and to arrange your appointment. It is emailed to the salon and stored in the website’s database.
If you join our mailing list
We store your email address, and your name if you give it, so we can send you our monthly specials. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you by calling or emailing.
Comments
If you comment on a blog post we collect what you type in the form, plus your IP address and browser user-agent string, which helps us detect spam. Spam detection is handled by Akismet, so comment data is shared with that service for that purpose.
Security logging
Our website security software (Wordfence) records IP addresses and request details in order to block attacks and repeated failed logins. These logs are kept only for security purposes.
Cookies and embedded content
If you leave a comment you may opt in to a cookie that remembers your name and email so you do not have to retype them.
Some pages embed content from other websites — a Google Maps map on our About and Contact pages, and social sharing and follow buttons. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website, and those sites may collect data about you and use cookies. We do not control what they collect. How long we keep it
Enquiry and appointment messages are kept while we need them to serve you and for our own records. Mailing-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up replies can be recognised automatically. Security logs are kept on a rolling basis.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is shared only with the service providers that make the website work — our web host, our email delivery provider, our spam filter and our security provider — and only so they can perform those functions.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To make a request, email helen@infinitystyles.net or call (708) 594-2050. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Some deletion requests have limits — for example, we may need to keep records required for tax or accounting.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
